Oct. 9  (exerts taken from “Lies Women Believe and the Truth That Sets Them Free” by Nancy Leigh DeMoss)

“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace..So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” Romans 8:6,8 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Romans 3:23

“My sin isn’t really that Bad”  How many of us has said that.  Or are you calling them your weaknesses, struggles, or personality traits.  Did you know wasting time, self-profection, talking too much, eating and drinking too much, a sharp tongue, a critical spirit, overspending, fear, worry, selfish motives, and complaining are sins.

We need to see that every single sin is a big deal, they are an act of rebellion to God.

Quote from John Bunyan “One leak will sink a ship; and one sin will destory a sinner”

Blessings on everyone

Oct. 3

“And all things, whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”  Matthew 21:22Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”  Mark 11:24

Webster’s says that prayer is to ‘ask earnestly’.  When you pray do you ask earnestly??  Do you ask believing you will receive?  Or is pray a habit before meals and at bedtime?  Lives can be changes, situations can get better, we only need to believe or have faith in prayer.

I had a situation this week.  Thursday I prayed for the situation (actually named the problem) and today I have seen answers.  God is listening and would love to hear your voice.

Have a great weekend

Sept. 18

“And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.” Eph 4:32      And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven many also forgive you your trespasses.  But if you do not forget, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” Mark 11:25-26

Do you have duck tape around your heart?  Who have you not forgiven; parent, sibling, neighbor, co-worker, other Christian?  Does that duck tape need to be surgically removed or will you give it to God??  An Unforgiving heart is a burden that can hinder your witness. Set your heart free and God will be able to use you in many mighty ways.
**What or who does your heart reflect?!?!?!

 Have a blessed filled day!!

Sept. 4 (exerts taken from ‘the Frazzled Female’ by Cindi Wood)

“Rejoice always! Pray constantly.  Give thanks in everythink, for this is God’s will for yo in Christ Jesus”  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Sometimes it takes sheer determination to choose to be positive.  Being positive in the words we speak, the facial expressions we make, and thoughts we think are opportunities of choice throughout any day.  A positive attitude does not take care of all the problems but it sure will help you have at least a little bit of your sanity left by the end of the day!

When you have a less than positive word, expression or though:
say a scripture out loud
sing “Amazing Grace”
say “Praise God”
whatever you can think of, to get your mind off that less than positive word, expression or though.

Have a great day!!

Leah
